Look what all happens when I don't surf by occasionally...
It makes my head hurt just to THINK of your custody contretemps; Z's attitude steadily worsens & when he gains the courage, he'll tell his dad off. (in his case I think if it weren't for the GF, current visitation schedule would not bother Z so badly)Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03152215204773184788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8703107.post-45858736514064645242010-10-04T13:44:40.866-05:002010-10-04T13:44:40.866-05:00Um... It works, but just in case you don't actually know who I am, I should have probably told you that I am Brite69. :-P And I can't remember my blogger password, either. I pretty much abandoned the blog you left a comment on and half ass started one over on Wordpress. I've been battling some weird medical crap and just haven't been writing as much as I used to. :-/ I also managed to freak out all my girly doctors along with myself and my boyfriend, so there's that. Oh, and I got fired for being sick. I think you're pretty much up to speed now. LOL

As for ex, I think I'd have probably tried to kill him. If my ex-husband ever even thinks about trying to get my little ginger boy... Well, I don't really know what exactly I'd do, but it wouldn't be pretty and I can guarantee that he'd regret even considering an attempt. I'm so glad he didn't get far in that lawsuit.

So, yeah. I'm SOSOSO glad to see you're back! :-D I need to get to cleaning right now cuzz the boyfriend's parents are coming to stay with us (and our SIX cats) tomorrow. Should be an interesting experience. Heh.

YAY!

(Just in case the identity thingie doesn't work for the new name, here's a link to the wordpress blog. http://briteburningblu.wordpress.com/)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8703107.post-31854725798185548342010-09-28T06:14:56.384-05:002010-09-28T06:14:56.384-05:00Yeah, it was bad. He also bailed b/c he's too damned clever - in the 5th grade, they stressed how those grades would determine middle school placement (he's in honors based on that), so that meant 6th grade didn't matter and he could cruise.

Of course, ex blamed me for the downturn and even spoke of J being on the road to drug abuse, although J didn't fess up to his decisions to bail until 6th grade graduation. Through all this, though, he was doing very well in other subjects, plus Scouts and he kept up his violin. He didn't become a hoodlum on the streets.

There were a number of things relating to J's schoolwork/teachers/state tests that came to light this summer and they took ex's concerns about me right off the plate. With the lawsuit, I did ALL the work, but me finally having a lawyer's letterhead made ex back down. He's a wuss. I am stripped of all respect regarding him. I was absolutely ready to take this to trial and show him as a fool.

So, it was a very stressful school year, topped off with a lawsuit. J did want to live with his father b/c I was the bad guy in all this as I had to reward/punish/keep up with the schoolwork; I'll admit to frustration regarding this. The way I see it, Dad was the candy shop with all the pretty stuff and Mom was the grocery store with that plus the vegetables, too.

I do not have any idea why states think pubescent 12 year olds can make any decisions regarding custody or anything else in their lives. They're idiots! I walked on eggshells for months, but my legs are no longer cut off at the knees. I can parent again, but at least he is interested and motivated by school again. I write about the ADHD component of this another time.Crickethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13622985406269216862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8703107.post-86195492089474627232010-09-27T21:44:27.399-05:002010-09-27T21:44:27.399-05:00OMFG seriously?
