Saturday Scavenger Hunt: Drive

How timely! Thank you, Greg, for choosing the watchword for the day ... and my next week.

Today I put my little car into Drive and drive with its sadly peeling bumper for a beautiful drive in the mountains. Let's hope the drive shaft does not break. I'm thankful that the drive train is still under warranty.

I wish I had the drive to drive and take in great, distant sights more often, but my drive to drive anyplace over an hour is quite minimal. (Photo by J)

However, my favorite demonstration of ambitious drive is this marine who pays tribute to the fallen each year and these bikes loudly drive by in remembrance.

Okay, sometimes he drives me fucking ape shit.

In a bad mothering moment, this is the closest I came to taking a picture of my son at golf camp last year. In the covered area in the background, apparently he impressed all and showed he's a natural at putting out some great drives.

I have always wanted to drive one of these, especially as a young Lieutenant's wife when I got to ride one with my head and it's CVC helmet sticking out the top hatch, manufactured smoke billowing out the back.

Ah, to drive one of these...

Kids get to drive the coolest things...

(with varying degrees of success)

Imagine the freedom to drive like this!

Driving both of these would take some serious leg strength.

Always be prepared for the line drive.

Here's the proof that I am a great driver. No additional injuries occurred ... besides the falling tree.

For this holiday (it is Cricket's birthday after all), please drive responsibly...

You seemed to have a lot of drive when composing this post. I give your effort another gold star as far as theme related content goes. Well, well done.
