A mish mash

I found a great article/link - the title says it all.
How should I respond when my child says "I hate you"?
More is available for this and other ages:
Your Child's Behavior (Ages 5 to 8)

This is incredibly pro-IVF patient news coverage in The Scotsman. Much was a discussion of sex selection and how absurd that concept is to most people seeking IVF. It also compares different countries' treatment of different IVF parameters.

Off to find a May pole!

I often don't know what your alphabet soup stands for. You abbreviate a lot. Is there an explanatory post or sidebar listing that I've missed?

Ron,
You're so lucky, esp not to be going thru IF, IVF, SIF or to go acr to the other side and have a K-er.

That's all I can think that I use.
IF: infertile/infertility
SIF: secondary IF (means you have a kid but can't make more)
IVF: in vitro fertilization
K: kindegarten
K-er: kindegartener
bf: boyfriend
SIL, MIL etc: sister-in-law...
ex: ex-husband

Anything else specifically?

esp: especially
acr: across

Also, I am an awful speller, as evidenced above, and I don't trust the blogger spell check - it tags the ones I have actually spelled correctly. Thanks to my handy dandy dictionary always by my side.

Thanks, Ron. I was going to ask the same question.

Thanks, Cricket for the explanation.

It took me a while to get back and check the list. Below in bold are the ones I knew or guessed:

IF: infertile/infertility
SIF: secondary IF (means you have a kid but can't make more)
IVF: in vitro fertilization
K: kindegarten
K-er: kindegartener
bf: boyfriend
SIL, MIL etc: sister-in-law...
ex: ex-husband

So I guess I wasn't so far behind statistically, but the ones I didn't know were ones I needed to know. I think I'm going to copy this comment into a notebook file in my computer.

I like your Caution Cricket road sign.

So funny you would read it as Caution Cricket. I read it as Cricket Crossing. I'll have to remember both interpretations.

I was actually going for a picture of a real insect when I stumbled on this.
