Sour Cream and Onion Crickettes

Yeah, really. They were dried crickets slathered in seasonings. Could have chosen a couple other flavors, too, like BBQ or cinnamon.

I could not eat my kind, but Lyd didn't know they were my kind! She ate the whole bag.

ha ha!! not sure if I could eat them or not...they are supposed to be very high in protein and quite nutritious...granted they were probably deep fried and had crap on them...

I'm sure they were tasty.

As a former Pest Control Operator in America, I can't say that I approve your (slow) methods.

However, with enough flavorings added, Americans can usually eat anything, including cardboard--we do that all the time!

I've never eaten crickets before, send me a pack, I'll munch 'em down.

Ack! & here I have a whole jar of freeze-dried crickets on my shelf, to feed to Z's bearded dragon...
They STINK, however - I think I would have to be nearly starved to death to eat 'em.

I used to date a guy who ate live grasshoppers. I think I can find other forms of protein that work just as well.

I am not a very adventurous eater, so I'd have to give those a pass and stick with my barbeque rice cakes :-)

I think I'll have to pass on the snacks, thanks anyway. I could never be on Fear Factor or the Amazing Race because I would not be able to do any of the "gross food" challenges. I don't even eat seafood!

*shudder* I don't think I could eat them. Hell, I freak out when a bug of any kind lands on or near me. Eating one I don't think would go over very well. o_O
