Lighter, built for speed

Monday morning = weigh in

It is funny that my old scale measured in 0.5lb increments and this one weighs in 0.2. It made it hard to mesh in my never ending OCD exactitude when I would make it past that half pound mark I began with - say for giggles that was 126.5 but I can no longer weigh in 0.5s. Last Friday, after losing two extra pounds with the new scale, I was at 0.6 (or 116.6, hehe), so that meant I could not declare 10lbs yet.

I have resolved to resolve to graciously accept those two less pounds this scale has granted me (unless, perhaps, it was a real loss due to an ebb in PMS symptoms) and can gladly say that I am down to the 0.2 mark today, for a loss of 10.3lbs. And I most certainly weigh 116.2 like I did in HS and when I was a newlywed.

Exhibit A

If you didn't follow that, don't worry. It is meaningless, really. I merely consider myself over the 10lb mark, which is actually over 15 considering last fall. Now I need to set a new goal. Maybe 10 more pounds by Mother's Day, which is in about 10 weeks. Let me think on it.

Ahhhh, the days of when my family would tell me that if I don't eat something I'll blow away...

It's a huge advantage (I think) to being single. I'm sure my husband wouldn't have let himself sneak into the 230+ range if he was still single.

Congrats on you current numbers.

Thanks dd. For me, I don't think being single makes me want to lose, but I know not cooking real meals for somebody else helps me to lose. You must be a good cook for the Mister.

Forgot to say in my post that I am three weeks ahead of my timeline of 10lb in the 11 weeks before the cruise. Sure would be nice if I could inch it closer to 15 by then. I feel greedy.

Congrats! [but I think you lost it, I found it, ha ha]
Actually I'm done 1 lb from last week's insanity & we rolled the bikes out of the garage yesterday to start training for the MS 150 (about 10 wks away)...

Congrats! Man, I haven't been weighing myself as often as I should, but hey, I think my thyroid is FINALLY starting to function.

Yay you! I'm going to start on my weight loss escapade as soon as my excersize crap gets here. (Which should be tomorrow) I hope I have as much success as you!

Can we see a now photo??

Keep setting goals, that is the sanest way to drop the pounds. I am still actually trying to gain some weight (muscle)and it has been tough. I have hovered around 200 for the past 7 years.
